Christmas Day

Jonas spent Christmas morning at his dad's house, and I picked him up around lunch time.  We headed out to Grandma Deb's house for some yummy Christmas lunch.  Aunt Deanne got the kids snow tubes - we can't wait to play with them!  Brynn and Bransen had to leave shortly after lunch, but we stayed for a few minutes and Grandma Deb read Jonas some stories about the people in her Bethlehem village.  The boxes from the snow tubes were pretty fun, too.  Duane cut eye and arm holes in Jonas' so he could pretend that he was a robot.

Next, we went to Grandma and Papa's house for dinner.  Turns out I only took one picture there, and it's not of Jonas!  But we did have a good time.  The kids watched a Muppet Christmas Carol, and they put on some "shows" for us.  Jonas' shows were mostly about stealing gum and going to jail...Creative, I know.

When we got back home to the apartment, we found that Santa had left presents there, too!  We decided to choose 2 to open and save the rest for morning, since it was so late.  He got a remote control helicopter - awesome!

We ended our day with our last Advent devotion.  I have loved doing devotions with Jonas during this Christmas season.  He was really influenced by them, and kept reminding me of the true meaning of Christmas!  We sure are blessed, and we were able to celebrate that with our family all day.  I truly hope that all of you had a wonderful, blessed Christmas as well!
