Water Fun Day

Friday was a HOT day.  We cooled down with some fun water activities for the afternoon.

First, we had a water balloon fight!  It's amazing how fast the kids can demolish 100 water balloons.

After our water balloon fight we loaded up our water shooters and set up the slip n slide.  Jonas was the slip n slide pro!  

When we were done using the water shooters for water, we used them for paint!  The kids made some really creative art projects by shooting the paint onto their papers.

We ended our day with a trip to the drive in with the Laffertys and Sirgeys to see Monsters University.  It turned out to be an adventurous trip!  The bathrooms didn't work due to a water main break, so we were pretty thankful for all the surrounding wooded areas.  Then, Jonas was playing with Hayden and bumped his head on the car and cut up his lip and knocked his front tooth loose.  From the amount of blood, you would've thought he's lost all of his teeth!  Not to fear though, as usual, Jonas was tough, and after cleaning up with our bottled water and sucking on an ice cube, he was good to go and ready for the movie, fat lip and all.

Strawberries!

We had an awesome day yesterday with Brynn, Bransen, Abby, Bekah, and Bethany.  We went to a new park and enjoyed a picnic and some playground time.  Then we headed to Greg's Upick (which I highly recommend) to pick some strawberries!  It was the first time doing this for everyone, so we really had a lot of fun.  They had some animals to see there also.  When we had filled up our 6 quarts of strawberries, we came back to Papa's and got some yummy treats from the ice cream truck.

Last Day of School!

Today was our last day of school!  

We celebrated with the Lafferty's at Larkin Square for Food Truck Tuesday.  They have lots of fun things to do, and lots of good food!

Camp Pioneer School Picnic

We had our annual school picnic out at Camp Pioneer today.  It was a GORGEOUS day, and we took advantage of it! Jonas played some games with his special friend, did some fun activities with his class, played on the beach, and went swimming (even though the water was freezing!).

Zoo Day!

Jonas went on a zoo day without me!  Aunt Lisa and Miss Colleen took 6 kids to the zoo for the day on Saturday.  Jonas had so much fun, and he even carried Giraffee around with the whole time.

Eternal Flame

We hiked the Eternal Flame trail at Chestnut Ridge.  Jonas like hearing about how it all worked, and even explained it to Grandma and Papa later.  We had fun with Brynn and Bransen on the hike and picnic, and then had some fun playground time.

Giraffee

Jonas got this giraffe as a gift from Aunt Lisa when he was born.  He still sleeps with it every night :-)

Picnic Paradise

Jonas and I took advantage of the beautiful weather after school today.  We packed a picnic and headed down to the park.  We ate, played on the playground, explored the creek, and stopped for ice cream on the way home.  A great night!
