Soccer

Jonas started playing soccer in West Seneca's Kids Play program last week.  He even scored a goal in his first game!

The Rest of August, and Most of September

Here comes the massive "catch up" post!  Hold on to your hats, cause here we go!

We went to the Erie County Fair and saw a bunch of smelly animals.  We also got the kids faces painted, and stopped at the wood carver who made the kids some really cute little things.

We went to the Bison's game, and the kids picked giant gumballs as their treat.

Jonas was a champ at the dentist, and was super excited to get tokens to spend on little toys.  The dentist said he was her best patient all day :-)

We bought a boat!  We've been out a couple times, but it will be even better when it actually WORKS!

Jonas started first grade!  He is doing great, and loves his teacher, Ms. Harris.

The kids get special friends at school, and Jonas couldn't be more excited to have his buddy, Kyle.  They had tons of fun at the first special friends activity, chalk day.

Now, maybe I will be better at this from now on, maybe not :-)  But I am going to try to post some pictures of some of the work Jonas is doing in school, because I couldn't be prouder of my smart little guy!

Hershey, PA

So, it's been a long time since I've posted, so bear with me as I try to catch up!

We went to Hershey, PA!  We made some "bus stops", as Jonas called them, on the way there.  We went to see Mark Twain's grave...

the statue of the extinct Labrador Duck...

the PA welcome center...

and the birthplace of Little League Baseball.

Once we were in Hershey, we went to Hershey's chocolate world, where we took in a 3D movie, created our own candy bars, went on a ride to learn how chocolate is made, and of course, ate some delicious chocolate!

We went to City Island in Harrisburg, which sounded pretty awesome online, but was actually pretty deserted.  We didn't let that stop us though...we went on a train ride around the island, Jonas went on the carousel, and we played Putt-Putt.

We spent the next couple days at Hershey Park.  Jonas loved every ride of course, and even went on his first upside down roller coaster!

(This was the upside down roller coaster!)

We went to Zoo America...

And had one more "bus stop" on the way home.

What a great trip!  How can you not love a place where the streetlamps are Hershey kisses??
