Vacation!!

On Saturday the family headed up to the Thousand Islands for a vacation on Black Lake. We spent the week relaxing, eating, and visiting with the Herdleins. Jonas really got into the camping spirit. Every day there was a different themed "happy hour". Jonas sat back in a camping chair to enjoy his snack during the "Hollywood" happy hour.

Jonas' cousins kept him busy by playing with him every chance they got. Jonas loved the attention!

Jonas discovered his tongue while we were on vacation. He stuck it out all week long at people, and when he wasn't sticking it out he was trying to grab it with his fingers.

By the end of the week Jonas was content to just hang out with Daddy in the cabin (which was very nice and air conditioned).

And lastly, Jonas turned 10 months this week! He is turning into an expert crawler and is getting into all kinds of trouble. He is also beginning to try cruising...I have a feeling things are going to move fast from now on.

Herdlein Barbeque

This afternoon we headed out to Batavia for a little barbeque for the 4th of July. Jonas was enjoying hanging out on his cousin Dominic's four-wheeler when it started to rain...and then hail. So, we moved indoors. But it didn't matter to Jonas, as long as all of his cousins kept playing with him!

Happy Birthday Brian!

Sunday we headed out to Batavia for Brian's birthday. Of course, we forgot to get a picture of Jonas with Brian. Oh well, happy birthday anyway!

After Great Grandma's we went to Grandma Herdlein's, but Jonas was very cranky and tired, so there are no pictures. Christmas morning we opened our family gifts, and Christmas Day we headed over to Aunt Marie's.

After Aunt Marie's, we went over to Uncle Bob's. Jonas met the New Jersey Herdlein's, and loved his cousin Blake!


Jonas is not in this picture, but it is a seriously cute one of our nieces Allison and Rachel, and nephew Quincy.


Overall, Jonas had a great, although tiring, Christmas. We can't wait until next year when he is walking and talking!

Jonas met Santa!

Jonas went to the Knight' s Christmas party on Saturday and met Santa! He didn't even cry! And, he got to hang out with some of his cousins too.




After the party, we headed out to Batavia for bowling. Guess who's in town! Jonas had fun hanging out with Dave and Kathy while Andy and I bowled.

After his big day, Jonas passed out until about 8:30 this morning. And when I went to wake him up for church, this is how I found him in his bassonet. I couldn't resist getting a quick picture before starting the day!

Baptism

My little boy got baptized yesterday! The service was very nice, and Jonas didn't even cry. He did spit up in the middle of it, but luckily it doesn't show up on his white suit. He was so cute with his white suit and black hair! After church everyone headed over to our house f0r a party. Jonas had a great time hanging out with his cousins, and Allison and Rachel even fed him! Thanks to everyone who helped out, we really appreciate it!

Little sidenote - Jonas sucked on a new binkie! It was largely out of desperation I think because I left the old one at the church, but it's still exciting!
