Opening Presents

Jonas took all morning to open his presents, but he got pretty good at it! It was so cute to see him get excited by each one.

Every time he opened a present, he said "Open it!" to whoever was closest to him. He played with almost every present before opening the next one...which made it last a long time! He took the time to line up his alphabet blocks...

try on his Cars slippers...

and check out all the sounds and gadgets of his Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (his favorite toy)...

but at the end of the morning, all he wanted to do was sing into his McDonald's microphone that we got with a Happy Meal months ago. That's a kid for you!

I like this one because Jonas thought he still had to press something on the box to make it sing the "Hot Dog" song, so he was trying to find the box instead of playing with his toy!

2nd Birthday Party - Play Time!

After things calmed down a bit, Jonas started to relax and played with all of his new toys!

Chuck E Cheese Please!

We always try to do a sibling outing around the time of each of our birthdays. For mine, we took the kids and we all went to Chuck E Cheese. Jonas wasn't feeling too great because he had a cold, but he forgot about it pretty fast once he had 15 rides to choose from. I have to admit, I liked playing the games too!

Play Time!

Jonas had a great time playing at Aunt Lisa's today. He got to draw on the easel with marker and get his hands all messy. He practiced his letters and numbers with the magnets and counted "one, two" about a hundred times in a row. He also had a great time playing in the boxes Aunt Lisa was using to reorganize!

Cars Cars Cars!

In case you haven't noticed, Jonas is obsessed with Cars! These are a couple pictures of him showing off his Mater toy and Lightning McQueen ball. The song he is dancing to in the video is the opening song in Cars. Jonas will even be getting a big boy room that is Cars pretty soon...almost time to get rid of the crib!

They're Back!

Where's Jonas?

There he is!

Aunt Beth and Uncle Ryan got back from their honeymoon! We headed over there tonight to welcome them back and see some pictures. Jonas enjoyed playing outside with the "big kids". He especially liked Brad, who let him walk on Mommy's car!

Back on the Horse!

Jonas had his first playground trip since his ER trip last weekend. He wasn't afraid at all...big surprise (not)! He did feel better holding hands with Bethers down the slide. (By the way, these pics were taken with my brand new camera, which can take movies! They will be coming soon to Jonas' blog!)

Go Horsie!

Jonas likes to play on his rocking horse, and says "wee!" the whole time he is on it. The cool thing is, it's my rocking horse from when I was a kid! Gotta love the toys that last generations.

Let's Play Ball!

Uncle Mike taught Jonas how to catch! He puts both arms out and catches the ball into his chest. He is already a good thrower, so maybe he will turn out to be athletic (unlike his mom!)

Evening at the Park

Last night we went to the park at the end of Aunt Lisa's street to enjoy a free concert and play at the playground. Jonas had a blast, and we got the opportunity for our first good picture with Jonas, Bethany, and Bekah!

Washing my Car

Jonas was very into washing his car on Saturday. Once he finished his, he moved on to washing Bethany's! Grandma even took advantage of his helpful mood and had him wash one of the patio tables. What a nice boy!

Good-Bye Watkin's Glen!

Saturday night it rained for about 2 hours, so we played games in the tent and watched a movie on Aunt Mary's DVD player. We ended up eating dinner at Burger King instead of our chicken and corn on the cob that we had planned, but we did get to spend some more time outside. Jonas was a really good boy on our trip back this morning and is currently sleeping...go figure!

Playing at the Campsite

On Saturday morning we hung out at the campsite and played a couple games of magnetic lawn jarts. Jonas couldn't understand why it was so difficult for us...he got all four of them on the mat!

Watkin's Glen - Day 1

Jonas and I went to Watkin's Glen State Park this weekend with Lisa, Matt, Bethany, Bekah, Mike, and Mary on our first, hopefully annual, sibling camping trip. On Friday Lisa and I went early with the kids to start setting up. Everyone was impressed that we had all three tents set up by the time everyone else got there! While we were busy doing that, Jonas and Bethany explored our campsite! Jonas didn't understand why he wasn't allowed to play in the fire pit...there was no fire in it after all. After convincing him that it was off limits, he settled for hanging out in his very own camping chair!

Slide

 

Jonas is a brave little boy. He gets such a kick out of flying down the big kid's slide. There wasn't even anyone at the bottom!

Doctor's Office

Jonas had a lot of fun playing with the toys at the doctor's office while he waited for Bethany to be done with her appointment. (Dr. Darlene bragged about how good Beth was!)

Trip to the Poconos!

Over the weekend Jonas and I took a trip to the Poconos to see Cat and Erik. This is how Jonas was for at least half of the 5 hour car trip...both ways! Couldn't ask for more!
