Christmas Day

Christmas Day we went over to Grandma's for a little party. Jonas wasn't feeling to well, but he still had some happy moments. He got some really cool presents! He can race around in his new car (Flintstone style), and take a walk around the block in his new wagon! His present from Aunt Lisa even made him smile. After Grandma's we went over to Uncle Bob's, but Jonas was too tired to last very long there, so we didn't get any pictures.

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning Jonas got to open up his presents from Mommy, Daddy, and Santa! He was really getting the hang of ripping the paper to open the presents...so much so that he ripped up his new book! We did have fun though!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we headed over to Uncle Tom's for a party. Jonas, Bethany, Leah and Ben had tons of fun playing together. Jonas got really cool cars from his cousin Eric!


After Uncle Tom's we went over to Grandma Herdlein's house for the next party. Jonas loved these reindeer ears. They sang "Silent Night", and he carried them around with him all night and asked people to put them on his head. He is so cute. And of course, he got lots more presents!

Christmas with the Thompson's

Jonas went over to Grandma's house for the Thompson side of Christmas yesterday. Jonas already got some early Christmas presents! What a lucky boy. He also got to see a lot of his family that he doesn't get to see very often.

It was a really great party and Jonas loved getting all kinds of attention from his family! Christmas has officially begun!

Cars!

On Saturday we went to Uncle Tom and Aunt Karen's for a post-Thanksgiving get-together. Jonas had a blast playing with his cousin Ben, especially because he brought really cool cars to play with! Ben was really nice about sharing, and the boys looked really cute in their matching camouflage outfits!

Basket Case

Jonas loves to play in this basket at Aunt Lisa's. It came back to bite him in the butt though...or lip. He fell out and cut his lip with his tooth! Of course, once he stopped bleeding, he climbed right back in.

Trunk or Treat!

Jonas' fever broke just in time for us to head over to Trinity for their Trunk or Treat event. Jonas and Bethany dressed up as m & m's. They were absolutely adorable!

We stopped at Great Grandma's for some treats and pumpkins! Jonas had to eat his cookies fast before Bethany stole them!

It was a little chilly outside, but Bethany and Jonas made it around the parking lot 2 whole times. Mommy and Daddy will enjoy his candy!

After trunk or treating, we went to Nino's for some late dinner. Jonas sported his Halloween bib and hat!

I Don't Feel Good...

Body Painting

Jonas thought it was pretty cool that he got to paint his cousin...of course he got a lot on himself too. It did start out as painting on paper, I don't know what happened!

I am the champion!

Jonas successfully climbed up all of the stairs to his bedroom today! Time for the barricades! He was proud of himself too...this is him at the top of the stairs showing everyone how big he is!

Day 2 - Bronxville

On Sunday, we headed to Bronxville to reminisce about our college days and say hello to Catherine's parents. Concordia has done some awesome renovations in the dorms and library, so it was fun to see. Jonas has officially been to Mommy's college, so he had his picture taken with the alumnae.

For lunch we went to Piper's Kilt, the best burgers in town. We had many laughs when our parents came to visit at that restaurant.

And of course, Jonas had to go to Mommy's favorite spot in town, Haagen Daaz. We enjoyed some ice cream sundaes before hitting the road.

Painting!

Jonas and Bethany had a great time painting at Aunt Lisa's house! I think we may have a couple Picasso's on our hands!

Vacation!!

On Saturday the family headed up to the Thousand Islands for a vacation on Black Lake. We spent the week relaxing, eating, and visiting with the Herdleins. Jonas really got into the camping spirit. Every day there was a different themed "happy hour". Jonas sat back in a camping chair to enjoy his snack during the "Hollywood" happy hour.

Jonas' cousins kept him busy by playing with him every chance they got. Jonas loved the attention!

Jonas discovered his tongue while we were on vacation. He stuck it out all week long at people, and when he wasn't sticking it out he was trying to grab it with his fingers.

By the end of the week Jonas was content to just hang out with Daddy in the cabin (which was very nice and air conditioned).

And lastly, Jonas turned 10 months this week! He is turning into an expert crawler and is getting into all kinds of trouble. He is also beginning to try cruising...I have a feeling things are going to move fast from now on.

Little Boy

Jonas got another haircut on Monday. He is starting to look more like a little boy and less like a baby every day.

Sleepover!

Saturday night we had a huge sleepover at Camp Pioneer! Jonas hung out with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Lisa, Uncle Matt, Mommy, and of course, Bethany! They played late into the night, and then were put to bed in the bathroom! Had to fit in that little room somehow...

Zoo!

Jonas spent two days at the zoo this past week. Tuesday he went on his first carousel ride and never cried at all! But when we were done I had to pry his hands from the poll. What a brave boy. Today he went on his first train ride at the zoo. He handled it like a pro.

Jonas talked on the phone so long he fell asleep! And it's only 9:45...
