Dinner's On Me!

Lately Jonas has decided that he likes to feed himself, which of course makes quite a mess. I think his outfit is quite appropriate though!

Check out the awesome mailbox Jonas got from his Aunt Kathy and Uncle Bob. He loves the ladybug that spins around on the bottom.Friday was such a beautiful day! Jonas and Bethany played on a blanket in the backyard all afternoon. Jonas loves getting attention from his big cousin, and got tons of it! He had a blast.

Birthday Night!

Today we went over to Grandma and Grandpa's for Mike's birthday cake (which was a really cool dragon cake Aunt Lisa and I made). Jonas got to eat a chocolate graham cracker! He loved it and got it all over himself!

Great Grandma's!

Yesterday we went over to see Great Grandma. She had tons of cool bottles that she saved for Jonas and Bethany to play with! They had fun knocking them down and shaking them!

Chillin

Lately Jonas has been holding on to everything. He fell asleep in his car seat, but still wouldn't let go! Just a little update for you...Jonas learned how to clap! He has been working on it at Grandma Herdlein's house and he finally got it! Yay!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

Last night we went to Jonas' first baseball game! He loved to watch all the people and birds. He especially enjoyed the children sitting behind us playing with him! I think we have many baseball games in our future!

And of course, Jonas was very excited to see Uncle Mike propose to Mary on the big jumbotron! Congrats Uncle Mike and Aunt Mary! We love you!

Mommy's First Zoo Day!

Wednesday was the first day I went to the zoo with Jonas, Aunt Lisa, and Bethany. Unfortunately, the only picture I took was of this wandering peacock. We were too busy having fun to take pictures!

Zoo!

Jonas spent two days at the zoo this past week. Tuesday he went on his first carousel ride and never cried at all! But when we were done I had to pry his hands from the poll. What a brave boy. Today he went on his first train ride at the zoo. He handled it like a pro.

Water Baby

Jonas was having fun playing in the pool with Bethany yesterday. Look at him playing peek-a-boo!

Day in the Park

Cousin Bath Time!

Jonas and Bethany had their first bath time together this morning. I think they pretty much thought they were in the blowup pool.

Standing!

There's been a few things in the last week that are worth mentioning as far as Jonas' developments. About a week ago Jonas started standing on his own against the coffee table. He can also pull himself up to sitting or standing if he is holding onto my hands. He also learned how to say "da-da-da" and "rah-rah-rah" and "gah" all on Saturday. I think I'm going to have a little talker! Now if only he would crawl, he would be all over the place!

In the past week or so, Jonas suddenly decided he is really into his feet again!

Mother's Day

I had an awesome Mother's Day. It started out with my baby being brought to me in bed, already fed, changed, and clean. I was served a delicious breakfast (with ice cream on the side!), and a gift certificate for a day of relaxation under my plate. After breakfast we headed to church and then to Great Grandma's for lunch. Jonas had fun hanging out with his cousins Bethany and Leah. After that we went over to Uncle Bob and Aunt Kathy's for dinner. By the time we got home Jonas was all tired out and went straight to bed. I thoroughly enjoyed my day of pampering, and I even got some really cute homemade gifts that Jonas made for me! Of course, for the whole day, I only have one picture...

Jonas and Bethany spent the afternoon outside in their pool. Jonas loved it! By the time he was done splashing and playing with Bethany, Jonas was pooped, and settled for a nap in the great outdoors.
