Watkin's Glen - Day 1

Jonas and I went to Watkin's Glen State Park this weekend with Lisa, Matt, Bethany, Bekah, Mike, and Mary on our first, hopefully annual, sibling camping trip. On Friday Lisa and I went early with the kids to start setting up. Everyone was impressed that we had all three tents set up by the time everyone else got there! While we were busy doing that, Jonas and Bethany explored our campsite! Jonas didn't understand why he wasn't allowed to play in the fire pit...there was no fire in it after all. After convincing him that it was off limits, he settled for hanging out in his very own camping chair!

Future Basketball Star?

Doesn't Jonas look like he should be hanging out at the basketball courts? This is an outfit from Great Grandma. Thanks Grandma, it looks cute! All he's missing is one of those arm bands.
(By the way, in the top picture, Jonas is trying to eat Grandma's necklace! What a crazy child...)

Circus!

Daddy took Jonas to the circus today. Jonas liked the elephants, or "doggies" as he called them!

I missed you!

Bethany was really excited to see Jonas come home on Sunday! She greeted him with a big hug and kiss.

Swimming

Jonas is just about the craziest kid ever when he gets in the water. Absolutely no fear!

Biking Adventures

I got a new bike and one of those kid trailers to go on the back. Jonas went on his first ride today and he loved it! He especially liked going over bumps and riding fast. I think he's going to be a thrill seeker!

Doggie!

Jonas got a new doggie backpack! He loves it because he loves stuffed animals and doggies. I love it because it has a leash so he can't run away!

Lazing Around

The kids love to watch their videos. Aren't they cute the way they are laying there?

Field Day!

Aunt Lisa brought all of the kids (Jonas, Bethany, and Bekah) to Trinity's field day to hang out with me and my class. They had a lot of fun and made friends with all of the kids!

4th of July Preview

I went shopping at the Target dollar bins for some cool 4th of July stuff for the kids. Of course they had to try it out!

Rebekah Hope!

On Friday night Jonas got a new baby cousin! Her name is Rebekah Hope. He got to go to the hospital to meet her, and he thought she was really cute. Of course, after a little while, his first love won out...Bethany! We are so glad you are home Bekah! We love you!

Happy Housewarming!

We had a little housewarming party over at Uncle Mike's and Aunt Mary's new house today. Jonas had a great time playing with Joey and getting fed lots of junk food. There were rumors that he wasn't behaving during party preparation but I just don't believe it...look at that innocent face!

Stylin'

Jonas was walking around today with Aunt Mary's shoes on. He already has good taste in shoes!

Silliness

My nephew is the silliest boy I have ever met.

Jonas is a brave little boy. He gets such a kick out of flying down the big kid's slide. There wasn't even anyone at the bottom!

Clay Day

 

Jonas had a ball playing with clay today. He was even pretty good at not putting it in his mouth!

Driving Already?!?

Jonas sat in the front seat while I got his carseat ready the other day. He was super excited!

Meeting Max!

We got to meet our new cousin Max over the weekend! He is even more adorable in person than in the pictures, and I didn't think that was possible! Jonas had fun playing with his cousin Joey too!

New 'Do

Uncle Mike gave Jonas a nice new hairdo when he got his hair cut on Friday!

We finally got to celebrate Bethany's 2nd birthday on Friday night. Jonas appreciated Bethany letting him look at her presents! The cake wasn't bad either...

Doctor's Office

Jonas had a lot of fun playing with the toys at the doctor's office while he waited for Bethany to be done with her appointment. (Dr. Darlene bragged about how good Beth was!)

Update!

Jonas went to Quest today to get some bloodwork done. They had to pump his arm a bit and move the needle around to get the blood moving, but he hardly even cried! The nurse was impressed that he was such a "toughie", as she called him. He's also been talking! He says quite a few words now, including doggie, taggie, hi, bye, no, eye, juice, there you are, ball, and uh-oh. It's quite a big jump from a couple of weeks ago when the doctor told me he was behind on his speech!

Sandbox Time!

Jonas and Bethany were very excited to be able to play in the sandbox again on Aunt Lisa's balcony!

Trip to the Poconos!

Over the weekend Jonas and I took a trip to the Poconos to see Cat and Erik. This is how Jonas was for at least half of the 5 hour car trip...both ways! Couldn't ask for more!

Piggy Back Rides!

Jonas had a great time getting piggy back rides from Uncle Matt!

18 Months!

Jonas went to the doctor last week for his 18 month check-up. He is 25 lbs, 3 oz and 31 3/4 inches tall. He is up to speed with all of his developments, except he is a little bit behind with his speech. He was a trooper and impressed the nurse when he got his shot...he didn't even flinch let alone cry! What a tough boy.

Shoe Hands!

Jonas puts his shoes on hands instead of his feet...which can get pretty dangerous!
