Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!  I am so blessed to be able to spend my Easter with my fantastic family.  I hope your Easter was blessed, too!  As always...here's some pictures to take you through our day.  Jonas spent the morning with his dad.  When he came home around 2, he informed me that he went to a BIG church, and got a cute stuffed froggy from the Easter bunny.  He was thrilled to find out that the Easter bunny came to our apartment, too!

He found his basket in less than a minute - the Easter bunny really needs to find some better hiding spots :-)

After finding the basket, we headed to our Uncle Tom's and Aunt Karen's house for dinner.  Jonas had a blast playing with all his cousins - Bethany, Rebekah, Abby, Ben, Jack, Charlie, and Hayden!  Yup, it was crazy.

Pre-Easter Activities

We've already done some pretty fun Easter things, even though Easter is still 2 days away.

Dying Easter Eggs - It's amazing how much more patient the kids were this year.  Their eggs actually turned out pretty!  I also feel like I have to admit...the only broken egg was broken by...me!

Spring Musical

Last week Jonas and Bethany performed in Trinity's spring musical.  They did a great job, and looked really cute with all their matching t-shirts and jeans.

Just Keep Swimming...

Jonas finished another session of swim class this morning.  Mr. Matt said with a little more practice he'll be ready for Level 2...in the mean time, another round of Level 1 it is.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We celebrated St. Patrick at school today.  Guess what??  Lucky the Leprechaun came to our classroom!  He obviously had a lot of fun...

But he lost his shoe, and a bunch of shamrocks!  Luckily my super students found the shoe and gathered all the shamrocks, and we left it for Lucky to come back and get.

We spent the rest of the day graphing Lucky charms, writing about what we would do if we had a pot of gold, measuring each other with shamrocks, playing shamrock bingo, playing a "find the leprechaun" game, enjoying yummy green cookies that Josh brought in, and having shamrock shakes...

Lucky came back during gym to get his shoe, and left the kids a pot of gold!  (Chocolate gold, that is!)

Lutheran Schools Week

Trinity does a really fun potluck/bubblefest family event as part of Lutheran Schools Week.  The kids had so much fun playing in the bubbles and seeing all the cool stuff they can do!
