Jonas was very into washing his car on Saturday. Once he finished his, he moved on to washing Bethany's! Grandma even took advantage of his helpful mood and had him wash one of the patio tables. What a nice boy!
Jonas is learning more and more things every day! Keep visiting so you can see what he's up to!

Community Days - The Carnival
After the parade we headed down to the carnival for a little while. Jonas went on a couple of the little rides. I can't believe he was brave enough to go on! I think his mom is a much bigger wimp than he is. After the excitement of the rides he enjoyed sharing a milkshake with mommy.
Community Days - The Parade
Jonas and I went to West Seneca Community Days over the weekend. Jonas loved the parade, especially the marching bands. He showed off some of his dance moves while they walked by. He also enjoyed the antique cars and shouted "Car, car!" over and over and over...

Fat Lip
Jonas got his first fat lip this morning. He was sitting in his booster seat and I was getting him a sippy cup, and he got so upset waiting for it he tipped himself over...chair and all. It took me a couple minutes to realize where he was bleeding from, but it became pretty apparent when his lip grew to twice its normal size! Of course, he stopped crying as soon as he was allowed to play in water to wash himself off. He's recovering with boo-boo bunny now...although he thinks he's perfectly fine!

Wet N Wild
Jonas went outside last night to watch Papa water flowers, and ended up playing with the hose. He loved trying to get "drinks" and came back inside soaking wet, but he had tons of fun!

Yarn Art
Jonas was very into the yarn today. Not very much of it ended up on paper, but he had fun putting the pieces everywhere else!

Good-Bye Watkin's Glen!
Saturday night it rained for about 2 hours, so we played games in the tent and watched a movie on Aunt Mary's DVD player. We ended up eating dinner at Burger King instead of our chicken and corn on the cob that we had planned, but we did get to spend some more time outside. Jonas was a really good boy on our trip back this morning and is currently sleeping...go figure!
The Hike
Later Saturday morning we went on a hike along the Watkin's Glen waterfalls. It was a really gorgeous hike all the way up a mountain and then back down. Of course, that meant there were a TON of stairs. Jonas was a real trooper and wanted to walk to whole way by himself. He climbed all the way up the mountain and stopped to be picked up to see the waterfalls. He was really mesmerized by all the water and had a great time. By the time we reached the top, I could tell Jonas was starting to get tired. At first he just started resting more, and then he sat down and refused to walk any farther. At that point Uncle Mike carried him for a while and then I took over. Not surprisingly, he was passed out by the time we got to the end of the trail!

Playing at the Campsite
On Saturday morning we hung out at the campsite and played a couple games of magnetic lawn jarts. Jonas couldn't understand why it was so difficult for us...he got all four of them on the mat!
Watkin's Glen - Day 1
Jonas and I went to Watkin's Glen State Park this weekend with Lisa, Matt, Bethany, Bekah, Mike, and Mary on our first, hopefully annual, sibling camping trip. On Friday Lisa and I went early with the kids to start setting up. Everyone was impressed that we had all three tents set up by the time everyone else got there! While we were busy doing that, Jonas and Bethany explored our campsite! Jonas didn't understand why he wasn't allowed to play in the fire pit...there was no fire in it after all. After convincing him that it was off limits, he settled for hanging out in his very own camping chair!

Future Basketball Star?
Doesn't Jonas look like he should be hanging out at the basketball courts? This is an outfit from Great Grandma. Thanks Grandma, it looks cute! All he's missing is one of those arm bands.
(By the way, in the top picture, Jonas is trying to eat Grandma's necklace! What a crazy child...)

Doggie!
Jonas got a new doggie backpack! He loves it because he loves stuffed animals and doggies. I love it because it has a leash so he can't run away!
Field Day!
Aunt Lisa brought all of the kids (Jonas, Bethany, and Bekah) to Trinity's field day to hang out with me and my class. They had a lot of fun and made friends with all of the kids!
