Zoo Day

Today is the last day of our Easter vacation.  Aunt Cat, Uncle Erik, and Nathan came up to visit us for most of the week, and it was wonderful to be able to visit and hang out with them.  Thursday was our first nice day while they were in town, so we packed all the kids up and headed to the zoo for the morning.

Jonas was in charge of the map.  He loves to be in charge!

I was babysitting Hayden for a lot of the week, so he came too.  He liked watching the sea lions, the bear cub, and the snow leopard...basically the things that were close and moving a lot :-)  We were just in time to see the sea lions get fed!

The bear cub in the background was really playful and loved to play with the white barrel in the water.  Nathan loved him!

Happy Birthday, Nathan!

Jonas and I traveled to Bronxville over the weekend to wish Nathan a very happy first birthday! He was super cute and is getting to be such a big boy.

It was a "Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs" themed party...check out the cake!

Nathan slept through some of his party, but he woke up in time to try some cake (which he wasn't too crazy about!) and open a few presents. Of course, Jonas was right there to help him out.

Bronxville Trip

Jonas, Grandma, and I went to Bronxville this week to meet little Nathan (and visit Catherine and Erik, too!). He is so adorable and sweet, and we had a great time getting to know him. Here are some pictures from our week!

Jonas was covering his ears while he was sleeping. Do you think he was trying to give us a hint?

We are sporting our 3-D glasses in this picture! We saw Toy Story 3, which was a really good (and sad) movie.

Jonas had to go to the bathroom so many times on the way home that we gave up on trying to find rest stops.

Jonas' favorite game in the car was telling me to close my eyes, and then giving me a thumbs up and shouting "teamwork!" - over and over and over. I have no idea where he got that from, but it was pretty amusing!
