The Rest of the Museum

We looked for a few minutes around the rest of the museum. It wasn't quite as exciting. Jonas kept asking what he could touch and was disappointed that there wasn't very much that he was allowed to! They did like to look at the animals though. Jonas told me is was like going to the zoo, except all of the animals are dead!

Digestion

There was a whole area about digestion - complete with a giant nose that dripped "snot" and a poop machine! The kids loved it!

Use Your Hands!

There was a whole part about your hands. We put our hand under a microscope and saw how different all of our hands are. There were also puzzles and boxes you could reach into and guess what was inside.

Move Your Body!

Grover led the kids in some games to encourage them to move. They danced and played "Grover Says"...but really they just jumped around and did whatever they wanted. Jonas kept claiming he was tired every 30 seconds, so it kind of went in spurts!

The Count's Castle

We learned about the insides of the body in the Count's castle. The highlight was a really cool organ that sang different songs about your organs when you pushed the buttons. Jonas got some practice recognizing his numbers, too!

The Grocery Store

The "grocery store" in the exhibit was a huge hit. The kids learned about eating healthy while making their own giant sandwiches, and filling up their baskets with plenty of fruits and veggies. Jonas really like restocking the shelves, and made sure everyone's baskets were emptied into the right spots!

The Obstacle Course

There was also an obstacle course in the exhibit. Jonas loved this of course - he got to run around! Rebekah loved it even more though...she cried and cried when it was time to give some other kids a turn.

Elmo's World

Mom and I took the kids to the Buffalo Museum of Science for the Sesame Street "Learn About Your Body" exhibit. These are pictures of the kids in "Elmo's World". They could sit on bean bags and watch Sesame Street, and dress up Elmo using magnetic clothes.

Another Day with Abby

Jonas is doing a great job being gentle with Abby. He is going to be a very good older cousin to her, just like he is to Rebekah!

Abigail Faye

Jonas got to meet his newest cousin, Abigail Faye! He was quite interested in her, especially when it came to making sure her binkie was in her mouth properly. He even got a chance to hold her in his lap while he sat on the couch. Rebekah may have been a little bit jealous though...she kept running over and hugging Jonas to get his attention! We are so happy to have Abby in our family. She is perfect!

Bekah in a Basket!

Bekah was actually not really happy to be in there, but she smiled for the camera!

Jonas Moment of the Day

I woke Jonas up today from his nap because it was time for dinner. He told me he wanted to eat and got up and walked downstairs. When he got down, he looked around the kitchen (at the taco ingredients) and asked, "Where's the pizza?" I have no idea why he thought we were having pizza. Two theories: Jonas thinks tacos smell like pizza - or - We eat way too much pizza! Probably the second one unfortunately...

Playground Time!

After lunch and sledding, even though we were freezing, we relented to about 15 minutes of playground time.

Sledding x 3!

For the third time this week, we were blessed with nice enough weather to go sledding! This time Bethany and Aunt Lisa joined us. Jonas and I picked up a couple new sleds at the store before we went, which both the kids loved. Of course, they were supposed to be for the adults! Nothing ever seems to work out the way you intend! Jonas had his first sledding collision - with Bethany! Bethany was able to stay on her sled, but Jonas flipped right off and sat in the middle of the hill crying. Afterwards he declared "I don't want to sled anymore. I want to go inside!" That lasted almost 2 minutes, and then he was trucking back up the hill to go down again!

Jonas is "looking at the clouds". I think he was just tired and didn't want to admit it!

Lunch in the lodge by the fire!
