Happy Birthday Aunt Lisa!

I thought of the best birthday cake for Lisa this year - a Monopoly cake! Of course, we brought out the cake and forgot to sing or have her blow out candles....minor details. It tasted good though, Jonas finished his piece in about 3 bites!

Sledding Again!

We went sledding again on Thursday. This time Bethany and Rebekah were able to come too! They both loved it, and actually Jonas was the first one to get too cold this time. We ended our morning with a "picnic" lunch in the heated lodge next to the hill. It was a fun day!

Sledding

Jonas went sledding down a hill for the first time today. We bought a couple of plastic sleds and headed out to Como Park. Jonas absolutely loved it! He wasn't afraid at all (not that I'm surprised), and he must have gone down and walked back up the hill about 30 times. He even got "Aunt" Beth, "Uncle" Ryan, and Grandma to sled with him! Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera, so no pictures. But I'm hoping the weather will cooperate enough to go one more time this week!

Bowling Night!

We took the kids bowling on Friday. Jonas was a trooper and played 2 whole games. The ball only stopped on the alley a couple of times!

Towering Wall of Snow!

Matt and I built an AWESOME wall of snow last week. The kids wanted to "help" - which actually consisted of Matt and I trying to convince them not to knock it down. It is still standing now, a week later!

And...We're Back!

Ok, I'm sure much to everyone's annoyance (because I keep changing my mind), I am going back to using Blogger. I didn't like Wordpress at all, and found it very difficult to work with pictures on that site. Since that is the majority of this blog, I am coming back here! I don't think it is worth it to move the few posts that I posted there, but you can still click the link in the previous post on this blog to visit Word Press if you would like.

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Jonas was very excited that it was Grandma Jane's birthday yesterday. Of course, that mostly was because he knew he was getting ice cream cake! But, he worked very hard on making a very nice card for her, and even "wrote" (dictated) the note!

Halloween Night!

Jonas' daddy came over last night to do some trick-or-treating with him. Jonas loved it, and when we came inside we relaxed, had a couple pieces of candy, and watched "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown".

Mall-o-Ween!

Jonas dressed up as Sebastian this year for Halloween. Bethany was Ariel and Bekah was Ariel's sister (another mermaid!). We went to the Eastern Hills Mall on Thursday for some trick-or-treating. Jonas thought he was tired, until he realized if he kept walking he could get more candy. Funny how that works...

Pumpkin Carving

Jonas spent a long time cleaning out his pumpkin. He kept putting the goop back in and taking it out over and over again! He also enjoyed using the pieces we carved out as a puzzle pieces to put back in the pumpkin!

Tool Man

Jonas loved his new tool set. He plays with it all the time. He even played a game with Papa where he kept putting each tool in "time out"! He has such a strange imagination!

Check Up

Jonas went to the doctor a couple weeks ago for his 3rd year check up. He weighs 33 pounds, and he is 37 inches tall. We had talked about what the doctor would do - look at his eyes, nose, ears, mouth, etc. After the doctor was done checking him, Jonas reminded him that he forgot to look in his nose! He was a trooper for his shots as always, no crying!

3rd Birthday Party!

For Jonas' 3rd birthday, we celebrated with a Curious George party! The first thing on the agenda was snacks - Jonas' favorite!

We had a banana scavenger hunt, and Bethany and Jonas had a great time finding all the bananas.

Until they were all gone. Then the meltdown happened.

Luckily presents were next, and that cheers up everyone. Jonas got lots of nice things and evened remembered his manners and said "thank you"!



We had a Curious George cake, and Bethany helped pass out all the plates. The kids had tons of fun!

McDonald's Bday Outing

Happy birthday to Jonas! I had so much fun taking my favorite nephew out to a birthday lunch at McDonald's. He loved that they were already decorated for Halloween, and that now that he's 3 he can climb all the way up to the slide by himself. Now someone just needs to teach him how to hold up 3 fingers correctly!

The Great Pumpkin Farm

Jonas and I went to the Great Pumpkin Farm today. Jonas loved feeding the animals, especially the baby goats. He kept instructing them to "wait your turn" when they all tried to eat out of his hand at once! He picked a ghost to get painted on his face, and wanted to keep going in to the bathroom to look at it. He was allowed to pick one ride to go on, and picked the boats. He had the ride all to himself! We also got to go on a hayride, watch a juggling act, and go through the "Boo Barn". With all that excitement, Jonas' favorite part was probably simply walking through the pumpkin patch. He liked the pumpkins with faces painted on them, and wanted to make "pumpkin faces" over and over for the camera. He had me laughing pretty hard!

Jonas gets to be in Sunday School now too! Lucky for him, his teacher is Papa!

Mommy's Birthday

My birthday was a few weeks ago, and my brother and sisters made me this awesome cake...

Jonas, on the other hand, didn't even get all the way dressed for my birthday :)

First Day of School!

Jonas started his first day of Pre-School on Tuesday. He put on his attendance sticker and went right into the classroom - no crying! Mrs. Makey said afterwards that he had a lot of fun. He brought home a picture he colored of himself, and talked a lot about his new friend Evan!

The kids were playing "red light, green light" with their trucks, and Bekah was the traffic light!
