Jonas and Bethany decided playing with the hose was more fun than watering the flowers!
Jonas is learning more and more things every day! Keep visiting so you can see what he's up to!

Crohn's Walk
Today we walked around Delaware Park to fundraise for Crohn's research. Thankfully, the kids all willingly rode in strollers, so we weren't the last ones finished! We enjoyed a hot dog dinner, and got to walk around the zoo when we were finished. I asked Jonas what his favorite part was on our way home, and he said "The giraffes". That's all well and good, except we didn't see any giraffes! Jonas still insisted that they were his favorite. Go figure!
The Elks

Last night we headed to Niagara Falls to see Great Grandma Sirgey. We had dinner at the Elks, and the kids all had a great time playing on the patio!

Story Time
Jonas enjoyed story time with Grandma and Papa, and then fell asleep on the couch. He never seems to be able to make it to his bed...

Friday Afternoon Fun
We spent another afternoon outside today. The kids tried out the baseball bat, badminton racket, and bubbles today!
Outside Fun
The kids played outside yesterday pretty much all day. Grandma set up cones for them and they had races. They ran around the house about 100 times with Aunt Mary chasing them. They played in the sandbox. Ice cream, swings, and dumptrucks were involved. Who could ask for a better day? Needless to say, a bath was needed before bed!
Happy Birthday Uncle Matt & Aunt Mary!
We celebrated Uncle Matt and Aunt Mary's birthdays last night. We made Uncle Matt a boring, plain cake (because that's what he wanted), and we made Aunt Mary a present cake, because she is such a wonderful present giver! As always, Jonas had a blast eating cake and playing outside! Happy birthday guys, we love you!

Burchfield Playground
Matt and I took the kids to the Burchfield playground this afternoon. They had a ton of fun playing together, even though Jonas said everything was "hot". Jonas' new favorite thing is to hang from the poles and tell me how strong he is. By the end, Jonas finally went down the slide once. Even Bekah crawled through the tunnel a bunch of times!

Happy Birthday Rebekah!
Bekah turned 1 on Saturday! She had an awesome party, and a really cute pig cake. The older kids assisted quite a bit in opening presents, which they loved. Jonas even got a present for himself! The highlight of the evening was definitely watching Bekah mash her cake for 30 seconds before tasting it. She is such a funny girl. Jonas loved getting cake as well, and the special treat of getting to play with Matthew and Benjamin. He was sad to see them go home!

Play Place!
We have the Jones family in town today for Rebekah's 1st birthday party, so we all headed to the McDonald's Play Place with the kids. I forgot to bring socks for Jonas, so he had to borrow some of Bethany's...purple ones! Then he got his pants dirty, so he was running around with no pants and purple socks! He had a great time though. He loves playing with Matthew and Benjamin!

We're Back!
I just wanted to apologize for the lack of pictures the past few weeks. My computer was broken, but I have a new one! So make sure you scroll down far enough, there's a lot of new stuff!
Playground Time
Jonas went to a new playground last weekend. He went on a big boy swing for the first time, and loved it!
Stickers, Stickers, Stickers!
Stickers are the big thing around here lately. Jonas will sit and play with stickers for a good hour. He puts them all over his body, and piles them up in his sticker book. We went through about 200 stickers in church last week, but it kept him quiet!
Bethany's 3rd Birthday!
Bethany had an Ariel party for her 3 year birthday. Everything was awesome. Lisa did a great job decorating the apartment. The whole living room looked like the ocean, complete with an Ariel mural and Ariel's treasure cove. Jonas was Bethany's little sidekick all day. He helped her open presents, blow out her birthday candles, and pop balloons when the party was over. Happy birthday Bethany!

Quote of the Trip
Jonas tried to say something about 10 times, and I couldn't understand what he was saying. Catherine and I both tried guessing, and he kept saying "no!" and repeating himself. Finally, Jonas ended the conversation by saying "I don't know what Joe saying". It was the funniest thing I have ever heard!
Vacation to "Aunt" Laura's - The Day at the Campground
We spent the day Thursday at the KOA campground that we were staying at. This is how Laura and Cat look at breakfast time - pretty scary!

They had an awesome "jumping pillow" there. Jonas' favorite thing to do was run and fall down! I think the adults might have enjoyed it the most!

Jonas on the playground

We had camper pies for dinner, cooked over a wonderful fire built with Laura's Three Springs skills. Right before bedtime we went to Maggie Moos for some ice cream. You might be wondering if Jonas actually ate any. I'm guessing maybe half of it. It is the kind of place where you can pick your own "mix-in", and Jonas picked marshmallows. Of course, when he got the cone with the marshmallows in it, he proceeded to pick them all out and pile them on a napkin. It is not easy to pick all the marshmallows out of a cone and eat it before it melts!
Vacation to "Aunt" Laura's - Wednesday
On Wednesday, we went to the Discovery Place in downtown Charlotte. Jonas saw lots of different animals, got to do experiments, and even touch starfish! But his favorite things were playing with blocks and playing in water...go figure.

After the Discovery Place, we walked around a bit downtown and headed to a little sandwich place for lunch. After about and hour there, Jonas fell sound asleep on the table. So, we stayed there another hour and a half so Jonas could nap.

We also checked out the Charlotte mall, which is WAY bigger than the ones in Buffalo. There is even a train that drives around, which Jonas loved!

Laura also made us a delicious dinner that night, chicken alfredo, one of my favorites. Jonas and I both loved it. Thanks "Aunt" Laura!
